Our Story

Hello, I'm Katya LiMon

My name is Katya LiMon — and yes, LiMon is my real family name. That's why this brand means so much more to me than a business. It carries my name, my reputation, and my life's work.

Moldova
  1. From Moldova to Montréal

    The arrival

    From Moldova to Montréal

I'm from Moldova, and I've been a pastry chef for more than 13 years. When I moved to Canada, I began building my dream almost from nothing. It wasn't an easy road — it took hard work, sleepless nights, constant learning, and an enormous love for the craft.

  2. A family business, in every sense

    The family

A family business, in every sense

Today I'm not only an entrepreneur but also a mother of three. Balancing family and business isn't simple, but my family has become my greatest support. My husband is always by my side helping our work grow, and our children are growing up alongside the brand and play their own part in its story. For us, LiMon isn't just a café — it's part of our family, and we pour our hearts into it every single day.

  3. What's in the name

    The name

    What's in the name

The name LiMon carries a double meaning. Many people connect it to the bright taste of lemon — freshness and lightness. But above all, it's my family name. That's why I treat every dessert as if I'm signing it personally.

  4. Known for our signatures

    The craft

    Known for our signatures

Today LiMon Pâtisserie is known for our signature honey cakes (Medovik), Napoleons, meringue roulades, modern mousse desserts, and exclusive celebration cakes. We're always evolving — creating new collections and striving to surprise people not only with beauty, but with taste.

  5. A moment we'll never forget

    The honour

    A moment we'll never forget

One of the most moving moments in our café's story was a visit from the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu. As someone born in Moldova, it was a special honour and a deeply emotional event for me.

  6. Our greatest treasure: our guests

    The guests

    Our greatest treasure: our guests

But our greatest treasure is our guests. So many come as families, trust us with the most important moments of their lives, and return again and again. It's for those smiles that we keep growing, refining our craft, and creating desserts that become part of happy memories.
